Cargo Business

Our cargo facilities are currently being expanded to provide greater flexibility and efficiencies in the movement and operation of air freight.  This is enabling the delivery of improved services and the positioning of the Airport as a major international gateway.

A modern Cargo Complex is currently being constructed and will serve to centralize the management and handling of air freight at the Airport.  The Cargo & Logistics Centre, the first phase of the construction, was completed in 2006 March and includes a 30,000 square foot cargo building, which accommodates the Jamaica Customs operations, as well as courier and other cargo service providers.  A two-storey Customer Reception Building is adjacent to the Centre and dedicated parking and security check points are in place.

The second phase of the development will add 54,000 square feet of warehouse space and other cargo commercial developments.  The commencement date for this aspect of the development is to be determined.
